Pfizer is creating 130 jobs across three manufacturing sites in Ireland including Grange Castle in Dublin and Little Island and Ringaskiddy in Cork, and a recruitment drive is under way. Pfizer employs about 3,200 people at six sites here across manufacturing, shared services, R&D, treasury and commercial operations and has invested $7 billion in operations in the country since 1969. Our sites in Ireland manufacture some of Pfizer’s leading and newest medicines for export globally.” Grange Castle based in west Dublin is looking to recruit across multiple functions including process scientists; process/equipment engineers; automation engineers; operations specialists; process technicians; quality analysts and project managers. Pfizer Grange Castle is one of Pfizer’s leading biologic manufacturing sites globally with state of the art technologies. The site manufactures highly specialised and complex medicines and vaccines involving large-scale mammalian cell culture; protein purification; aseptic/ sterile manufacturing and vaccines conjugation. The site successfully secured $300 million in investment in recent years to expand production capacity. These roles include process operators, mechanical and electrical/instrumentation craft, process engineers, process chemists, and quality control analysts. Pfizer Ringaskiddy recently secured $30 million investment to develop specialist new capability to manufacture some of Pfizer’s newest cancer medicines and other future pipeline medicines. The investment enabled the introduction of new innovative technologies which required more specialised R&D skills. Pfizer is prioritising its research and development efforts in areas where we can make the biggest difference to health and social care burdens: immunology and inflammation, oncology, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, neuroscience and pain, and vaccines.
