Course Overview

Effective leaders have the ability to influence others. To do so successfully they must understand themselves, the impact they have on other people, and embrace the simple fact that we are all different. Having Emotional intelligence (or EI) is seen by many as an essential ingredient for success in life. It has become increasingly prized by organisations as a quality that they seek and encourage in their management and staff.

EI is an individual’s ability to understand and manage their own emotions, and those of the people they interact with daily. Being aware of personal feelings, and how they impact on others is key to effective communication, interpersonal relationships, and leading staff in the workplace.
