BCAR - Building Control Amendment Regulations: Developing a Working Knowledge
The purpose of the course is to give an insight into the requirements of the BC(A)R system of proving building regulations compliance and the roles of the various project parties in providing the evidence of compliance, including statutory obligations, online management of documentation, drawings and certification, work inspections and the ethos of promoting transparency, interactive design discipline and responsibility for works and inspections.

Response of Flexible Structures to Dynamic Wind Loading
This course is intended as an introduction to the analysis and design of structures under dynamic wind loading conditions and explains the relevant principles and methods of structural dynamics. The course will include worked examples from practice. The course content focuses on structural dynamics and is designed to complement the ‘Wind Loading on Structures’ course which covers the basic quasi-static approach outlined in the Eurocode (IS EN 1991-1-4).

The purpose of this course is to introduce the concepts and methods of structural design and analysis for wind loading to practicing engineers. Delegates will learn about the physical processes causing the wind and how they impose loads on structures.
