How STEPS supports YOU

Training

Each STEPS Volunteer is trained by STEPS. We can visit your company to give in-house training or can provide training in Engineers Ireland.

At the training engineers will be taken through how to deliver a STEPS structured school visit, as well as communication tips and, importantly, our child protection policies.

Each volunteer engineer will be given a volunteer pack, including materials for the engineering activity to complete with the class and STEPS merchandise.

School Selection

The Company STEPS Leader will liaise with STEPS to choose and allocate school visits. Volunteers typically do one visit each, but are very welcome to do more! Visits can be done solo, in pairs or in groups - whatever your engineers prefer.

The visit will take approx. 1.5 - 2 hrs. The structure of the visit will be covered in the training.
