Following sustained and continued growth, particularly in the mission critical, life sciences and building services sectors for multinationals, the board of Jones Engineering have announced four senior management appointments to their leadership team.

Paul Nicholls, Stephen Anderson and Robbie Irvin have been appointed to the board of directors and Ray Greene has been appointed as deputy chief executive officer of the Fire Protection Division.

Company expands across Europe

The board explained that as the company expands across Europe and steps up operations in Ireland, it is essential that its strategic vision is led by a management team with a proven track record and a reputation for delivering results.

Nicholls, Anderson, Irvin and Greene have all worked for Jones Engineering for more than 20 years. They plan to build on the strong track record of partnership, collaboration, innovation and training.

Nicholls joined the Jones Engineering team as a project engineer in 2000. His exceptional attention to detail and his exemplary leadership style were recognised very early on.

Advanced and complex projects

He has delivered some of the most advanced and complex projects in Jones Engineering’s history, particularly in the building services and healthcare sectors, and has overseen an impressive period of growth. His track record speaks for itself and he brings a wealth of knowledge filtered through a fresh perspective.

Anderson’s journey with Jones Engineering also began in 2000 when he joined as an engineer and since then he has delivered a number of their flagship projects in the life sciences sector, including Pfizer Grangecastle, BMS Cruiserath Biologics, Janssen BioCork 2, Janssen Geel - Belgium and MSD Swords.

He was instrumental in the set-up of the Specialist Rigging Division, which currently offers specialised lifting, installation and relocation of industrial plant and equipment in Ireland and across Europe. His talent for spotting new opportunities and his ability to inspire progress and collaboration mean he is the perfect fit for the Jones Engineering leadership team.

Mission critical, healthcare and building services projects

Irvin, a time served craftsman and a qualified engineering technician, joined Jones Engineering in 1992. His expertise particularly lie in large-scale, mission critical, healthcare and building services projects.

He goes above and beyond what is expected and embraces challenges. In the past he has served on the Solas Electrical Apprenticeship Standards Development Group and is currently siting on the Contract Committee in the CIF.

His career progression within the company means he brings a particular grass roots perspective which Jones Engineering place great store in. This is complimented by his in depth experience with apprenticeships.

Unprecedented growth

Last year saw unprecedented growth in the Jones Engineering Fire Protection Division with turnover increasing by 125%. With growth projected to continue and an abundance of new opportunities on the horizon the Board of Jones Engineering were delighted to appoint Ray Greene as deputy chief executive officer.

In addition to his sprinkler qualifications, he holds postgraduate diplomas in project management and lean quality system from Trinity College and the University of Limerick.

Greene joined the Jones Engineering team in 1992 and since then has worked on some of Ireland’s most iconic landmarks. He was previously design manager for the Fire Protection Division with a unique strength in sprinkler system design engineering and with a keen focus on LEAN Construction.  His technical expertise is unparalleled but it is his ability to inspire his team and his readiness to adapt and innovate which sets him apart.

The board of Jones Engineering wish Paul, Stephen, Robbie and Ray every success in their new roles.
