The Local Authority Services National Training Group (LASNTG) has the role of overseeing and managing on behalf of the 34 Local Authorities nationally, the provision of quality training to staff in the areas of roads, water and environment through a series of 4 National Committees and 5 Regional Training Centres based in Roscrea Co. Tipperary, Ballincollig Co. Cork, Ballycoolin, Co. Dublin, Castlebar Co. Mayo and Stranorlar Co. Donegal.

Training aim

To provide guidance and procedures for local authority staff on the implementation of Solid Fuel Regulations and enforcement of legislation concerning solid fuel.

Learning objectives

The overall objective of this training programme is to develop guidance, procedures, protocol and training for Local Authorities and EPA on the implementation of Solid Fuel Regulations, ensuring good quality air standards and monitoring.

The course outline is delivered by a series of training units which will cover the modules listed in the learning objectives.    

Trainer's profile

The trainers are recruited from the bi-annual Tender List organised by the Local Authority Services National Training Group.  Course can be delivered by a number of trainers.
