The origins of Roadstone go back to the early 1930’s when two Dublin brothers Tom and Donal Roche started a sand and gravel haulage business operating from a small yard at Inchicore in West Dublin. Their company developed steadily during the 30’s and 40’s and a new company, Roadstone, launched in 1949. Roadstone now operate at over 40 locations nationwide providing high quality products such as blocks, concrete, mortars, grolime, asphalt, masonry, paving, and stonefill to the Irish market.
The aim of Roadstone: I.S. EN 206 Explained is to give guidance to specifiers on the application of I.S. EN 206 on the specification of concrete.

Roadstone: I.S EN 206 Explained examines the role and responsibilities of the specifier, producer and user in the specification, production and use of concrete. An overview of the materials used in concrete and the standards to which they need to abide by is given. Common errors in the specification of concrete are highlighted while exposure classes and the trinity of limiting factors and their application are discussed. The ordering and delivery of concrete and onsite testing are also covered.
