The State of Ireland 2018

The State of Ireland 2018

Engineers Ireland publishes The State of Ireland report, an annual assessment of Ireland’s infrastructure. Each year, panels of expert engineers grade each sector of infrastructure and recommend two-year and five-year actions.

2018 scorecard

The current state of Irish infrastructure is ‘mediocre’. Infrastructure is inadequately maintained, and/or unable to meet peak demand, and requires significant investment.

The State of Ireland 2018 focuses on water, wastewater and flooding. You can read our analysis and recommendations below.
