Manufacturing rarely sits still. New products, higher volumes and customer demands mean production lines get rebuilt and drives get replaced. How costly that change is depends largely on the technology chosen at the start. Will the line you build today still fit the products you make in future?
Reliance Automation, a Certified Excellence Partner of Bosch Rexroth UK & Ireland for its Factory Automation portfolio, brings technology designed for that reality to Irish manufacturers, with technical support and stock in Cork, Dublin, Limerick, Dundalk and Antrim.
Frames and conveyors that change with you
What you gain: a line you can rebuild, not replace. Rexroth's TS 2plus pallet transfer system and VarioFlow plus chain conveyors can be extended or reconfigured as production changes. Its aluminium profile kit, developed for more than 40 years, builds machine frames, guarding, workstations and flow racks, with MTpro and FRAMEpro CAD data for Inventor and SolidWorks.
Controls that do not lock you in
What you gain: freedom to choose, and to upgrade. ctrlX AUTOMATION is open and app-based, running on a real-time Linux operating system, with ctrlX CORE controls and ctrlX DRIVE servo drives and motors. Bosch Rexroth states that ctrlX AUTOMATION can reduce engineering effort by 30% to 50%. An optional AI module for ctrlX COREplus lets AI run at the machine, so data is processed and evaluated locally.
TS 1: the transfer system for precise assembly and rapid processes for small products
The electrified TS 1 modules add flexibility to material flow lines and raise productivity in assembly, with stepper motor-driven belt sections, curves and all-electric lift traverse units.
Key benefits at a glance:
- Fully electric;
- Pneumatics-free;
- Compact design;
- Intelligent IO-Link control;
- High repeat accuracy: ± 0.015 mm;
- Suitable for Class 7 cleanrooms (EN ISO 14644-1) and dry rooms (up to approx. 1% relative humidity).
One team from concept to installation
What you gain: one phone number. At its ISO certified Design and Build Centre in Dundalk, Reliance Automation engineers the mechanical, electrical and control side of your application, designing in SolidWorks and AutoCAD with PLC and SCADA control to IEC 61131-3. Systems are built and tested before delivery, so problems are found in the workshop, not on your factory floor, then commissioned on site and backed by training, 24/7 remote diagnostics and on-site service.
- Supply chain efficiency. One point of contact covers components, design and support, with no need to chase several suppliers;
- Maintenance and post-installation support. The engineers who designed the system also service it;
- Design flexibility. Build to a specification you have already set, or let Reliance design around your parts, layout and cycle times.
