FAIN Group has announced the acquisition of Accel Lifts Limited, one of Ireland’s most reputable independent lift installation and maintenance companies.
The move marks a significant expansion for FAIN Group in Ireland, bringing Accel and Doyle Lifts under one operational family and making Ireland the first FAIN Group region where the company holds the No 1 market position.

Founded and led by managing director David Bourke, Accel Lifts has built a strong reputation for high-quality service delivery and long-standing customer relationships. The company, based in KCR Business Park, maintains more than 1,600 lift units – primarily across Dublin and Leinster – and employs 22 specialist staff, including 11 engineers.
Following the acquisition, Accel Lifts will continue to operate under its existing brand, joining Doyle Lifts – acquired by FAIN Group in 2023 – as part of FAIN’s growing Irish portfolio.
Together, Accel and Doyle will form a combined operation managing more than 3,000 units nationwide, contributing to a total of +8,600 serviced units under FAIN Ireland.
Accel + Doyle will merge teams, while benefitting from shared technology, resources and group-wide support structures offered by FAIN Ireland’s industry-leading service model. Doyle Lifts will also transition to Accel’s premises, enabling closer operational integration.
Accel enters the FAIN Group from a position of strength, with:
- €4.6m annual income;
- 22 employees, including engineers, managers and sales teams;
- 1,600 lift units under maintenance;
- Nationwide presence, with a concentration in Dublin and Leinster.
This strategic alignment positions FAIN Ireland as the No 1 lift maintenance provider in the Republic of Ireland, marking the first time the FAIN Group has achieved market leadership in any of its global territories.
By the end of 2025, the group will have made 14 acquisitions, operating in seven countries – Spain, the Republic of Ireland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Denmark – strengthening its position as the largest family-owned company in the sector in Europe, with an ambitious goal of exceeding €250m in turnover.
Michael Kelly, CEO of FAIN Ireland, said: “Today marks an exciting milestone for FAIN Group as we welcome Accel Lifts into our family. Accel has earned enormous trust across Ireland for its technical expertise, reliability and strong customer relationships.
"By combining Accel and Doyle Lifts under the FAIN Group umbrella, we are creating a nationwide partnership with the scale, technology and service quality to lead the Irish market for years to come. Most importantly, we will continue to operate with the attentiveness of a local provider while delivering the capabilities of a global group.”

David Bourke, managing director of Accel Lifts, added: “Accel has always prided itself on being a close, client-focused company with high standards and a strong engineering culture.
"Joining FAIN Group allows us to preserve what makes us unique while gaining the resources, innovation and shared services of a large international group. I am delighted to continue leading the business and to work in partnership with Doyle Lifts under the FAIN Group umbrella as we expand our offering across the country.”
The expanded FAIN Group will deliver:
- Enhanced true nationwide service coverage;
- Faster response times through shared engineering resources;
- Access to advanced diagnostics, remote monitoring and FAIN’s predictive maintenance technology;
- A seamless customer experience across all brands;
- Increased operational efficiency through shared services.
Accel and Doyle will continue to serve their existing customers with the same teams and service levels they are known for, now with the backing of a larger and more innovative group.
