Expanding its existing range of modern heat emitters which includes Grant Afinia aluminium radiators and Grant Solo fan convector radiators, heating technology manufacturer Grant has added its new Uflex underfloor heating option which can be used for a wide range of projects, from one-off new builds and room extensions through to larger multi-property developments.

Convenient and highly efficient heating

The Uflex system offers convenient and highly efficient heating, especially when paired with a heat source like the Grant Aerona3 R32 air source heat pump.Grant Uflex underfloor heating

The pipework which can come in PERT and ALUPERT is positioned and clipped into place using our tracking and staple system. The flow and return pipework are then brought back to our stainless-steel manifold using quick and easy inserts which connect each part of the system together.

The Uflex system also includes the supply of self-adhesive edging strip which is located around the surrounds of the area in which the screed is laid. This strip also comes with a unique ‘skirt’ design which provides an overhang which curves alongside the wall.

Serves to reduce heat loss

This edging strip not only contains and seals the screed, it also serves to reduce heat loss where the floor meets the walls and allows for the expansion of the floor. As the system is designed for continuous operation with heat being supplied through the screed all day, this also means that the screed acts as a thermal store.

In addition to the mechanical components such as pipework and manifolds, Grant also supplies the necessary controls to operate the underfloor heating system as efficiently as possible with the touch of a button. Controls can be set to provide different room temperatures and different time intervals on individual heating zones, with a wireless option also available.

The Uflex underfloor heating is a key component within Grant’s Multiple Package Solutions offering which provides those working on new build or deep retrofit projects with the opportunity to save time by having a property’s full heating requirements designed, quoted and supplied by the technical specialists at Grant, who can ensure optimum efficiencies by accurately combining multiple heating technologies.

Technical drawings of the pipework layout are provided along with the required flow rates per loop and other design requirements.

Maximise efficiencies

This free-of-charge service also ensures correct product sizing to meet the property’s exact heating requirements, helping to maximise efficiencies and bring the home heating system into a new class of efficiency which can result in greater long-term savings for the property owner and a reduction in carbon emissions.

Grant’s Multiple Package Solutions offering incorporates a range of high and low temperature heat sources including the A+++ Aerona3 R32 inverter-driven air source heat pump and award-winning range of Vortex condensing oil boilers.

Following selection of a heat source, supporting technologies are specified to support the systems overall efficiency including Grant’s new pre-plumbed hot water cylinders which provide high performance and can work with one or more heat source.

The final stage in the process focuses on selecting the correct heat emitters to suit both the property and the heat source’s needs and may include Grant Uflex underfloor heating, Grant Afinia aluminium radiators and Grant Solo fan convector radiators.
