Nature Engineers

Sustainability resources and engineering experiences for primary schools and industry supporters.

Nature Engineers is a flagship project from the Engineers Ireland STEPS Programme, bringing nature-based engineering challenges to 5th and 6th class primary school students across Ireland. Through engaging classroom resources and engineer-led experiences, children will explore sustainability, rain-garden design and real-world problem solving.

Schools and organisations are encouraged to get involved, whether by downloading the free classroom activity pack, partnering with STEPS to help deliver workshops in local schools, or donating a Nature Engineers activity box to a classroom in your community, there are plenty of ways to inspire the next generation of engineers.
