Leading heating technology manufacturer Grant has restarted its onsite training courses at the manufacturer’s headquarters in Birr, Co Offaly. After having to temporarily freeze onsite training as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, new training dates have now been announced.

The Grant training courses have been developed by the specialist training team to further educate engineers throughout Ireland on the manufacturer’s range of innovative heating technologies.

Solar, wood pellet and combi boiler training

New dates have already been announced for Grant’s popular onsite Aerona3 R32 air to water air source heat pump training course, with more dates expected to be added in the coming weeks for solar, wood pellet and combi boiler training.

Grant’s onsite training courses will take place at the company’s state-of-the-art training facilities which opened at the start of last year. The high quality facilities include a dedicated training academy featuring an auditorium and training suite.

Courses range across all of Grant’s products and are free of charge to attend. Delivered by Grant’s experienced technical specialists, who have almost 20 years’ experiences in technical training in the domestic field, those attending the courses will have the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the ‘science’ behind Grant’s heating technologies and gain practical knowledge and installation guidance.

Grant’s training courses run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am to 4.30pm and are available to those working within the plumbing and heating industry including installers, engineers, plumbers, merchants, architects, local authorities and BER assessors.

Online learning platform

For those who would feel more at ease undertaking online training at this time, the Grant eLearning Academy is still available. Similarly, to on-site training, Grant’s online learning platform can be accessed by installers, engineers, plumbers, merchants, architects, local authorities and BER assessors.

The Grant eLearning Academy features a range of training courses, which are categorised into on-demand and instructor led courses. These courses will vary in both form and content, allowing engineers to structure their training to suit their requirements.

One course of particular interest to engineers is a CPD approved course focused on the Grant Aerona3 R32 air to water, air source heat pump. This course has been approved for CPD by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI).
