Grant’s free of charge home heating design service provides those working on new build and retrofit projects throughout Ireland with the opportunity to have a bespoke heating solution for the property created and specified under one roof.

Optimum efficiencies

On receipt of home design plans the Grant technical team provide full heat loss calculations which are then used to design and specify the property’s full heating requirements to achieve optimum efficiencies.

As part of the specification process, correctly sized heating products from the Grant portfolio which are included in the company’s Multiple Package Solutions offering are recommended to meet the needs of the individual property.

The heating design service is helping those working on new build and retrofit projects to save time on projects, whilst also giving peace of mind to know that the exact heating requirements of the property are being met, which in turn results in reduced carbon emissions and greater long-term savings for the property owner.

Barry Gorman, National Renewable Sales Manager at Grant, said: “Our home heating design service is continuing to prove very popular with architects, engineers and self-builders throughout the county with the demand for the service growing from strength to strength.

New build or retrofit project

"The design service was developed to aide those embarking on a new build or retrofit project by saving them time on the home heating design process, whilst ensuring they know that their designs are in the hands of professionals and will result in a home heating system that features products that are designed to operate together and can run at optimum efficiency.”

Heating technologies featured in Grant’s Multiple Package Solutions offering which may be recommended for the new build or retrofit property include a range of main heat sources including the A+++ Aerona3 R32 inverter-driven air source heat pump, available in four outputs, which offers a sustainable form of heating and can help achieve Part L compliance as required under building regulations in the Republic of Ireland.

Once the main heat source is selected for the property, supporting technologies are specified to support the systems overall efficiency including Grant’s pre-plumbed hot water cylinders which provide high performance and can work with one or more heat source.

The final stage in the process focuses on selecting the correct heat emitters to suit both the property and the heat source’s needs. Grant’s expanding range of heat emitters include the Grant Afinia aluminium radiators and Grant Solo fan convector radiators, as well as the popular Uflex underfloor heating system, Grant’s most unobtrusive heat source.
