With sustainability and high-efficiency priorities in the development of new properties throughout Ireland, demand for Grant’s  Multiple Package Solutions continues to grow among those working on new build and deep retrofit projects.

The Multiple Package Solutions offering ensures those working on developing new properties have a reliable, one-stop solution when it comes to heating technologies. It has become increasingly important to Grant in recent years to ensure that its wide range of products which includes main heat sources, heat emitters and complementary technologies, work together effectively to achieve maximum efficiency and meet all heating requirements as set out by building regulations.

Specialist knowledge

Through combining their extensive product portfolio and the specialist knowledge of its technical team, Grant offers a time saving and hassle-free process which includes the design, quote and supply of everything required to efficiently heat a property.

It is the careful combination of heating technologies from the manufacturer’s ever-expanding product range, which can take the property’s heating system into a new class of efficiency and ultimately help to lower carbon emissions and provide greater long-term savings for the property owner.

Grant’s heating design services involves full heat loss calculations for each room, in line with SR:50 guidelines followed by correct sizing and specification of heating technologies for the property by the Grant technical specialists.

The specification process includes sizing of the main heat source required for the property and identification of appropriate supporting technologies and modem heat emitters.

Highly efficient

Technologies that may be specified from Grant’s product range include, the highly efficient A+++ Aerona³ R32 air source heat pump. Complementary technologies could include Grant’s domestic hot water cylinders, namely the A-rated pre-plumbed and pre-wired hot water cylinder.

The final area of specification involves selecting the correct heat emitters for the property, with options including Grant’s Uflex underfloor heating system or the Afinia aluminium radiator range.

The Grant team will also work with the property’s specifier to ensure from a heating perspective that the Energy Performance Coefficient (EPC), the Carbon Performance Coefficient (CPC) and that 20% of the total energy use of buildings is sourced from renewables are all achieved.

Grant will also work with the BER assessor for the project to ensure future compliance and Building Energy Rating (BER) certification.
