The National Manufacturing and Supply Chain Conference takes place next Wednesday, 31 January in the Citywest Convention Centre, Dublin. The event will be the largest gathering of manufacturing and supply chain professionals in Ireland and all aspects of manufacturing engineering will be on the agenda. The annual event will welcome 3,000 manufacturing and supply chain industry professionals, 200 speakers and 170+ exhibitors including carmaker Fiat who are showcasing their two award winning cars and RS Components (RS), the global distributor for engineers, will also be exhibiting at the event with their new version of its mobile interactive technology truck, Titan 2. Main stage at the conference this year will feature panels on smart manufacturing and IoT where Patrick Ward, IoT Specialist with Microsoft, Thomas Davies, Computer Systems Specialist with Hovione and Micheál Cassidy, Founder and CTO of Irish Manufacturing Research will discuss the potential applications for new technologies in the manufacturing sector. There will also be seminars throughout the day and other discussions across the various stages on factory automation, robotics, 3d printing and smart plastics. In total there will be 16 conferences taking place within the event including the National Sustainable Manufacturing Summit, Lean and Continuous Productivity event and the Supply Chain and Logistics Expo. The Lab2Cleanroom Live event will attract senior management from Irelands leading cleanroom and laboratory sector offering an opportunity for lab and cleanroom operators, owners and designers to meet with suppliers and keep up-to-date with the latest industry innovations, best practice and new technology solutions in the lab and cleanroom sector.
