In an industry-first initiative, SOPREMA shows the carbon footprint of its products from the quote to the final invoice, giving clients clear insight into the environmental impact of their choices. Each invoice includes a cradle to gate CO₂eq calculation, helping customers make informed, lower-carbon decisions.

This initiative supports SOPREMA’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. With expert support from Carbone 4, SOPREMA has assessed emissions across its full supply chain and is taking action by reducing fossil-based materials, increasing recycled content, and cutting emissions in energy use and transport.

Full transparency

Additionally, SOPREMA now uses Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to calculate product emissions and has developed in-house methods for those without, ensuring full transparency.

SOPREMA has also introduced logistics tracking, measuring the carbon footprint of every delivery based on the EN 16258 standard. While transport accounts for less than 10% of emissions, SOPREMA believes every step counts.
