SteriValves is a growing Italian company established in 1999. We specialise in manufacturing powder and bulk material handling valves and accessories so that we can offer the best solution to pharmaceutical, chemical, nuclear and food industry applications and systems around the world.

SteriValves valves are made in Italy: Our headquarters are in Lucca (in Tuscany, Italy) where we design, manufacture, test and package all our quality products. Our team is composed of a dedicated group of skilled experienced professionals focused on offering our customers top quality products based on their needs.

Our customers are based outside Italy with 90% of our production sold worldwide (Europe, Asia, North and South America).

The pharmaceutical industry demands equipment that guarantees a safe and clean work environment.

Sterivalves can offer several solutions, depending on your application, to aid the dosing and flow regulation of bulk solid products:

Rotovalve Plus

Rotovalve Plus is the valve SteriValves designed to aid the feeding and volumetric dosing of bulk solid product, it is a heavy-duty rotary valve, with an eight-blade rotor, commanded by a motor.

Apart from its mirror-polished internal surfaces in contact with the product (Ra <0.5 µm), the Rotovalve Plus hygienic design avoids the presence of “dead corners” or obstruction points where the product can accumulate and cannot be eliminated using the washing liquid.

Its seals are also designed with the same logic; besides, an internal flushing system ensures the removal of elastomer particles that may appear with the valve normal use.

In many applications – such as food, pharmaceutical, chemical and industrial – fast and effective cleaning is crucial and important.

SteriValves Rotovalve Plus is CIP and SIP.  It can be easily cleaned, improving safety for workers, reducing downtime and production loss.

Rotovalve Light

Rotovalve Light is a 'special' butterfly valve with a 6 blades rotor, controlled by an actuator. Its rotor makes 180° movements back and forth, commanded by a 0°-180° pneumatic actuator.

Its main advantage over the well-known butterfly valve is that it not only intercepts the flow, but it also offers the possibility to control it and feed a process automatically and continuously.

It is the perfect solution if you need to feed hoppers, homogenizers or process and packaging machines.

RotoFlexi

RotoFlexi is a special Rotovalve Light, whose rotor has silicone coated blades specially designed for pharmaceutical, chemical and food industry.

This valve is designed to feed fragile products such as capsules, tablets and all those elements that can be easily damaged by the movement of a stainless steel rotor.

Unlike traditional systems, RotoFlexi is easy to clean and has very simple and low-cost maintenance.

Vibrating valve

It is a set composed by a SteriValve butterfly valve, a vibrator and a positioner that allows interception and dosage in a single solution.
The integrated vibrator allows to dose even non free flowing products while the positioner handles different flow rates.

This set identifies a small opening of the disk that, thanks to the vibration, allows to control powder flow in minor quantities until reaching the required precision. The vibration also helps to circulate product that does not flow easily, preventing it from sticking.

Advantages of SteriValves’ dosing and flow regulation line
