The underfloor heating system is embedded within the floor construction and the pipework is positioned and clipped into place once the flooring’s insulation and membrane has been fitted, after which a floor screed is poured over the top and allowed to fully dry before heat is introduced.  

The Uflex underfloor system can be fitted as part of the floor construction process, therefore causing no delays in construction. During the drying period, no heat should be introduced to the system, and no one should walk over the floor construction, until the screed suppliers time period has elapsed.

As part of Grant’s free-of-charge heating design service, when underfloor heating is selected as a heat emitter within the property, Grant’s technical team develops plans specifically for the Uflex underfloor heating system in individual rooms based on flow rates and heat loss calculations for each room. This provides invaluable support to the heating engineers assigned to the project, as it saves time and gives reassurance that the heating system has been professionally sized and specified to suit the requirements of the property.

Grant also supplies those in the heating trade with the pipework, underfloor heating manifold and heating controls needed to control the underfloor heating system.
