The MSc in Sustainable Transport and Mobility at Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) is a two-year part-time postgraduate programme, delivered jointly at the TU Dublin School of Civil and Structural Engineering (SCSE) and the TU Dublin School of Transport Engineering, Environment & Planning (STEEP). 

The programme is multi-disciplinary and delivered by a team drawn from a range of professional backgrounds across TU Dublin along with experts from industry. 

The programme is designed to be highly engaged, both with industry and civic society, encouraging current best practice and reflectiveness, and to facilitate new research and innovation in the field of transport planning.

The programme is of interest to those who wish to extend skillsets and have a meaningful impact in the planning, design, regulation and operation of sustainable transport and mobility networks.  

The programme is timely with significant government investment in public transport along with the creation of 250 posts in Active Travel Teams across all 31 local authorities. 

The Climate Action Plan, National Development Plan, Healthy Ireland, the National Physical Activity Plan and upcoming National Sustainable Mobility Policy all emphasise the importance of and need for sustainable transport and mobility infrastructure and services.

Lectures will take place in a blended format, delivered mostly online/remotely with several evening/full-day sessions per semester delivered in Dublin. This will appeal to full-time professionals based around Ireland with limited requirements to travel to Dublin. Postgraduate Diploma and CPD Certificate options are also available.
