Global management consultancy firm Accenture is set to add 250 people to its Irish workforce by the end of August 2015. A key focus of Accenture’s recruitment drive will be professionals with technology, digital and analytical skills across areas like SAP, Oracle, cloud computing and analytics. “Professionals who join our team will have access to the latest technology and will receive training and professional development opportunities to expand their business, industry and technical skills,” said Alastair Blaire, Accenture’s country managing director in Ireland. Blaire highlighted that, as part of the recruitment process, Accenture will be looking to attract highly motivated and highly skilled candidates who share the firm’s passion and commitment to client service. Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton welcomed the announcement and described the ICT sector as a key area of growth. He said “new technologies are changing business models and providing opportunities for new products and services across every sector of the economy”. “Today’s announcement that Accenture, a world-leading company in this area, is growing its operations in Ireland and creating 250 jobs is a further great boost for this sector,” he said.
