The Irish Times Innovation awards, now in their 13th year, attract some of the best and brightest minds across the island including engineers. The awards serve to celebrate innovative thinking, dedication, and entrepreneurship.

Recent winners of the ‘Innovation of the Year’ have included PMD Solutions, Atlantic Therapeutics and Hydramed Solutions. The category winners have demonstrated ingenuity and creativity over the past 13 years. Recent success stories have included converting spent grain to nutritious snacks, using VR technology to train employees and ID verification solutions to combat identity fraud.

The 2022 Irish Times innovation awards sees the addition of a new category for first time founders.

Entries are open (to mid-September) to businesses across a variety of sectors and categories, including:

  • IT and Fintech
  • Sustainability
  • Life Sciences and Healthcare
  • New Frontiers
  • Manufacturing and Design
  • First Time Founder
