Proveye, the Irish agri- and climate-technology company specialising in grassland measurement and analysis, has announced a new commercial partnership with Cavan Grassland Consultancy Ltd (CGC) to deploy ProvGrass, a satellite-based platform, to dairy farms supported by CGC across the north midlands.

Satellite-based grass measurement and monitoring tech

Under the agreement, Cavan Grassland Consultancy will integrate Proveye’s satellite-based grass measurement and monitoring technology into its grass advisory services, giving farmers continuous, objective insights into paddock-level grass cover, grass growth trends, forward feed supply, and silage yield potential.

This data will enable dairy farmers to make more informed grazing and feeding decisions, improve grass utilisation, and manage costs more effectively in an increasingly volatile milk price environment.

“This collaboration reflects growing demand from dairy farmers for reliable, scalable grass measurement,” said Paul Kennedy, chief commercial officer, Proveye.

“Cavan Grassland Consultancy has a strong reputation for delivering practical advice to progressive dairy farmers, and their adoption of ProvGrass demonstrates how satellite technology is becoming a core part of modern dairy grassland management.”

'Cornerstone to profitability'

“Grassland management is still the cornerstone to profitability in our Irish, grass-based system of farming. Whether it is dairy, beef, sheep or contract rearing, accurate, consistent and reliable grass information is fundamental to profitable farming,” said, Chris Cahill, CEO, Cavan Grassland Consultancy.

“By utilising Proveye’s platform, it allows us to deliver the level of consistent, field-level data that our clients need and expect and allows us to offer increased levels of support through planning grazing rotations, silage planning, and feed budgeting throughout the season.”

The partnership announced today builds on a series of recent commercial agreements that position Proveye, which is headquartered at NovaUCD in Dublin, as a key technology provider in the precision dairy grassland management market. With the ProvGrass platform already validated on dairy farms across Ireland and Europe, Proveye continues to support more efficient, resilient, and future-ready dairy production systems.
