Ardmac, the leading international construction specialist based in Swords Business Campus, Co Dublin, has picked up the ‘Lean in Leadership’ Award at the recent Lean Business Ireland Awards, which took place in Ireland’s national stadium, Croke Park.
Awards designed to recognise and celebrate enterprise excellence
Developed by Enterprise Ireland’s Lean Business Ireland, the awards are primarily designed to recognise and celebrate enterprise excellence achievements in Ireland. The event also provides a strong networking opportunity for companies to meet and share learnings with other continuous improvement teams.
Ardmac’s award of ‘Lean Organisational Leadership’ was a recognition for the comprehensive and successful implementation of lean practices into its business, where it delivers complex high value workspaces and technical environments on behalf of its customers in the commercial fit out, life sciences and data centre sectors.

Rollout of lean practices

Earlier this year, Ardmac was awarded the Irish Construction Industry’s Innovation in Construction Award for 2018, following its success in implementing lean across the business. Following these two industry awards, Ardmac is now establishing a real leadership position as a driver for lean within the construction industry in particular.
