Engineers Ireland is pleased to announce it has retained its Investors in Diversity Silver accreditation, awarded by the Irish Centre for Diversity. Engineers Ireland received an inclusion score of 81.3 %, an increase of 5.9% on the organisation’s previous score.

Silver reaccreditation affirms that Engineers Ireland is benchmarked against other bodies and continues to embed inclusive practices across the organisation and foster a sense of fairness and belonging among colleagues.

Investors in Diversity is Ireland’s premier accreditation and framework for progress with #FREDIE™ (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement) in the workplace. The programme recognises existing efforts, and supports continuous progress, by providing a structured framework to transform workplace practices and culture.

Damien Owens, Director General, Engineers Ireland comments: “Engineers Ireland is fully committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion, and I am thrilled that we have retained our Silver Award in the Investors in Diversity Standard. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative of all sections of society, members, and stakeholders, and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best.”

With a continued focus on inclusion and diversity, Engineers Ireland strives to be a supportive and empowering community for all. The varied professional backgrounds of colleagues within the organisation contribute to the breadth of skills and experience, allowing it to better serve the engineering community and advance the engineering profession.
