Cork Lower Harbour Main Drainage Project – Tuesday, 22 February 2022 at 1:00pm

The Project Management society and the Civil division will co-host a webinar on Cork Lower Harbour Main Drainage Project on Tuesday 22nd February 2022 at 1:00pm. Undertaken by Irish Water, this project ended the decades-long practice of discharging raw sewage directly into Cork Harbour. Speaking at this webinar is Déaglán Healy, a certified Project Manager with Ervia, representing Irish Water on all stages of the project.  Déaglán will discuss the project management tools and techniques that were successfully used to manage this project. Join the Roads and Transportation society and Hugh Cooney, CEO and Founder of Bleeper on Wednesday, 23 February 2022 at 12pm.  In this session, Hugh will discuss its launch to date and how working with Dublin City Council ensures that bike sharing maintains a positive public image. He will talk about the challenges and opportunities of running a micro mobility company in Ireland and will explain some of the difficulties experienced with GPS and other on-vehicle technology needed for the concept of vehicle sharing to work. Capturing waste heat from the London Underground - Thursday 24 February 2022 at 6:30pm 

Join the GB region and leading speakers as they discuss how capturing heat from the London Underground can contribute to the Mayor’s target for a Net Zero Carbon London by 2030. They will present TfL’s energy strategy and wider carbon targets and show how feasible it is to capture heat from London Underground ventilation shafts and distribute it to nearby heating demands.
