The South East Region is for members across all sectors of engineering, based in the counties of Carlow, Kilkenny, South Tipperary, Waterford, and Wexford. The Region represents a wide range of stakeholders including South East Technological University (SETU), local authorities, local government, contractors, companies, researchers, and more.
They support the professional development and engagement of engineers through CPD activities and social networking events, welcoming members of all grades and disciplines.
Some of the events previously held by the South East Region include:
- Technical presentations on topics such as 'Storm Water Attenuation focusing on the use of Carlow Concrete Precast Tank System' and 'Roadstone & HTL – The Development of 3D Construction Printing (3DCP) in Ireland.'
- Social events including table quizzes and the annual South East Region Golf Outings.
- Site visits to Great Island Power Plant, New Ross, Wexford.
