G&F Precision Molding unveils Irish operations

G&F Precision Molding has announced its expansion into Ireland, opening an engineering and sales facility in Mullingar. This facility serves as a launch pad for a future production operation that G&F plans to staff with 30-plus high value roles.

The investment supports G&F’s mission to align with local medtech companies, responds directly to customer requests, and contributes to Ireland’s thriving medtech sector. G&F is supported by the government through IDA Ireland.

G&F is a leader in providing advanced manufacturing solutions involving injection molded silicone and thermoplastic parts. This expansion marks a new chapter in Ireland’s medical technology manufacturing landscape, as G&F brings Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) molding, a capability previously only available onshore through captive in-house operations, to the trade sector for the first time.

The company’s commitment to Ireland is further demonstrated by its partnerships with the Irish Polymer Group and Applied Polymer Technologies (APT) Centre. Notably, vice president Nirav Patel recently served as a featured speaker at the Irish Polymer Group conference, and G&F has donated a mold and hosted hands-on training for the APT Centre.

Global hub for medtech innovation

Minister Peter Burke, Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, said: "G&F Precision Molding’s decision to establish operations in Mullingar is very welcome news. This investment is a strong vote of confidence in the Midlands and in Ireland’s growing reputation as a global hub for medtech innovation.

"The plans for more than 30 high-quality jobs will have a meaningful impact on our local economy and community, and this is very much in line with government regional development."

Ryan Mansfield, currently the director of business development, will lead the new Irish facility after relocating from G&F’s Danvers, Massachusetts site. Mansfield brings over a decade of experience in polymer and silicone engineering as well as commercial leadership.

John Argitis, president, G&F Precision Molding, said: “Establishing a presence in Ireland marks a significant milestone and reflects years of G&F’s commitment to building strong partnerships with our customers. I am grateful to our customers, my colleagues, and the IDA for their continued commitment to realize this opportunity. It is my intent that this foothold grows to become a significant member of the Irish life science manufacturing community.”

Mary Buckley, executive director, IDA Ireland, said: ‘’G&F Precision Molding’s decision to establish in Mullingar underscores the midland’s growing reputation as a vibrant hub for companies to expand their global offering. A key objective of IDA’s strategy, Adapt Intelligently, is to maximise regional opportunities and deliver investments to regional locations. I would like to wish G&F every success in the coming years.’’
