An online portal exposing all +€7 million construction projects opens up to competition on the Danish construction market, and the portal contains construction projects worth €8 billion. There is a high level of activity on the Danish market for large construction projects, but the number of bidders is limited. Hence, the largest Danish construction clients are eager for more European companies to participate in tenders for the largest building projects. The goal is a more open, competitive and internationally active market. The first step in that direction is a new online portal (constructionpipeline.dk) exposing every planned Danish construction project exceeding €7 million in value. The total value of projects at the portal currently amounts to €8 billion. “The online portal – constructionpipeline.dk – gives international companies knowledge of and insight in the level of activity for future construction projects and therefore a possibility to optimise their tendering for projects in Denmark. We encourage foreign companies to bid for the planned projects and make the necessary investments to establish themselves in the Danish market”, says Henrik L Bang, CEO of the Danish Association of Construction Clients (DACC), representing 125 of the largest construction clients in Denmark. At Denmark's largest public client and property enterprise, The Danish Building & Property Agency, that administers a total property portfolio of approximately 4 million m2, and has current and planned construction projects for up to €2 billion, CEO Gyrithe Saltorp welcomes the new market feature: "At The Danish Building & Property Agency we are very pleased with increased transparency in the market for large construction projects. The pipeline, updated four times a year, shows a forecast for the Danish construction market for the upcoming four years. The forecast is available for the entire country or divided into five regions.
