Snickers Workwear unveils new collection of protective clothing – from the inside and out

Snickers Workwear is launching its first collection of certified protective clothing. The company is now a more complete supplier of workwear and protective clothing to the professional occupational categories that have very high demands on the final product. Snickers Workwear manufactures work clothes for craftsmen who want the very best in terms of work safety, protection and function.

Foundation of company's success

Since its inception in Sweden in 1975, product development and innovation have been the foundation of the company's success. The garments are specially designed and developed for professional craftsmen such as carpenters, floorlayers and electricians. Snickers Workwear is today one of Europe's leading brands in workwear and with representation in 28 countries. Snickers Workwear is owned by Hultafors Group AB, see www.snickersworkwear.ie Snickers has a complete range of protective clothing – in addition to heat, the clothes are adapted for rain, sun, cold, winter and summer. The garments in the collection are certified for various applications with focus on heat / flame, arctic cold, anti-static and visibility. The number of reported electric accidents increased last year, especially in mining and industry, this is shown in figures from the Swedish Electrical Safety Agency, which means that the investment is timely. “Clothes should be functional under all weather conditions and for exposed occupational categories within, for example, energy and rail, it's crucial to get the fit right from the inside and out," said Per Wagnås, manager for protective wear at Snickers Workwear. "The importance of using the right protective clothing is obvious and in the case of accidents it can reduce or eliminate burns and even deaths,” said Ray Murray, product specialist for the ProtecWork range in Ireland. "With the knowledge and experience of Snickers Workwear this modern range is highly researched, designed to suit the most important risk environments and to ensure a high level of protection in exposed work situations. "We now take a big step with our protective clothing around ergonomics, fit and comfort. The combination of design and our highly regarded focus on high protection values are unique.”

Facts about Snickers Workwear’s protective clothing:

• 100 per cent inherent flame retardant feature embedded in the fiber - remains throughout the entire life of the garment; • Kevlar reinforcements on exposed areas, especially on legs and pockets; • Pocket functionality for both left and right handed wearers; • Jackets with enhanced protection in the most exposed areas; • Consistently high levels of protection in all product areas; • Garments and reflexes retain high visibility and same levels of protection after washing (follow instructions).
