Áine Myler is the Director General of Engineers Ireland.
Áine joined Engineers Ireland in August 2026, having previously served as Director General and Registrar of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, where she worked closely with the Board and Council to strengthen professional standards, governance and member engagement. She has also served as Chief Executive of Charities Institute Ireland.
Áine spent much of her earlier career as a Chartered Surveyor working within the built environment alongside engineers, planners and policymakers on infrastructure and development projects.
Engineers Ireland represents more than 30,000 members across all engineering disciplines and plays a key role in promoting professional excellence, supporting the development of engineers and advocating for the profession.
Dee Kehoe holds a bachelor of arts degree in English and History from University College Dublin, a post-graduate diploma in Advertising Management and an accredited diploma in Executive Coaching.
Deirdre Foley is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Shirley McDonald graduated from IT Tallaght with a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies and Management. She received the gold medal for highest overall GPA.
Dr. Keith Sunderland BE, Dip, Eng, PhD, MSc, CEng, FIEI
Registrar
Keith Sunderland graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology (now TU Dublin) with both a BE and PhD in electrical and electronic engineering. He subsequently graduated with an MSc in Strategic Management & Planning from University College Dublin.
