Air Tightness & Vapour Control in Modern Homes

Passive House Systems Logo 285

Organisation profile

Passive House Systems distributes products for low energy housing including: Air Tightness, Wind Tightness and specialist insulation products in the UK and Ireland. When our products are specified and used correctly the homeowner has the comfort of knowing that our products will minimise heat loss and vapour transfer through their building fabric for a minimum of 40 years. Resulting in lower energy bills, less thermal bridging, reduced incidence of condensation (with correct ventilation rates).

Training aim

The participants will have an overview of the air tightness requirements for different industry standards, including Passive House design standard. Participants will understand scenarios which causes interstitial condensation to build up and air to travel in and out of a building fabric, they will see solutions (products & applications) to prevent these problems. Participants will understand how air tightness is measured, including the different units of measurements.
