Training aim

Understanding responsibilities and liabilities in relation to the creation of safe machinery.

Practical steps to create the technical file when declaring machinery as being safe and CE compliant.

Learning objectives

Competent Personnel Who Can:-
Apply the machine directive (MD) & use the machine directive guide
Apply the Essential H&S Requirements from the MD
Choose the appropriate standards
Define the life cycle phases of a machine
Determine the limits of the machine
Create proper documentation
Perform statistical calculations, for required Performance Level
Calculate metrics such as MTTF, MTBF, B10, B10d, T10, DC, CCF, etc.

Create the declaration of conformity or the declaration of  incorporation (CE)

Trainer's profile

Mr Rinus Simonis

25 years experience in industrial automation.  Responsible person within Festo NL for CE compliance and application of standards since 1995.  Author of books and calculation tools on topic of CE and machine safety. Highly respected with the Irish SPMB (Special Purpose Machine Builder) community.
