Lightsolutions was founded in 2005 & is a wholly Irish-owned provider of emergency lighting products& solutions. We provide an emergency lighting conversion facility & distribution centre in our factory in Ballymount. We also provide design & commissioning services to offer a turn key solution for all installations and retro-fit design.

Training aim

To provide building service engineers with a comprehensive overview of the Lighting Standard NSAI IS 3217 and an introduction to the latest compliant products on the market.

Learning objectives

To provide an overview of the current NSAI Standard IS3217, the changes made in 2013 and to inform delegates of the impact of these changes on the design  & installation of emergency lighting systems. We also look at suitable products & their application, testing requirements & potential challenges.

Trainer's profile

David Vaughan B.A. B.A.I Dip (TCD) is the Managing Director of Lightsolutions since 2005. He brings vast business experience to the workshop, having spent his 25 year career as a consultant to the  building industry in emergency lighting design. He delivers regular briefings on the lighting industry to engineering consultants and has lectured in Kevin Street DIT.
