Organisation profile

In Ireland, ABB operates in six locations around the country and employs over 150 people. At our Head Office on the Belgard Road, Tallaght we operate five divisions that are in turn organised in relation to the customers and industries we serve. These are Power Systems, Power Products, Low Voltage Products, Discrete Automation & Motion and Process Automation where staff are involved in sales, technical support, engineering and project management.

Training aim

To give an overview to the protection relays, and communication possibilities. Different protection requirements, Solutions and conclusion.

Learning objectives

To inform people, of the different functionality within the relays. Plus advancements in the standards IEC61850.
