Resolute Engineering Group provide a number of sustainable engineering products and systems. We are a market leader in design, supply and installation of Solar PV systems for the commercial, industrial and domestic markets. We also design supply and install stormwater Attenuation, Foul Pumping Stations and Rainwater Harvesting Systems. We have a combined experience of over 50 years in the Stormwater industry and provide systems to housing markets, commercial developments and industrial buildings.
Training aim
To assist Engineers in the design of Stormwater Attenuation systems in line with the GDSDS guidelines.
Learning objectives
The objective of this presentation is to ensure that the attendee has a better understanding of SuDs (Sustainable Drainage) design and the pros and cons of using various types of systems in meeting the requirements of the GDSDS (Greater Dublin Strategic Drainage Strategy).
Course outline
The course looks at attenuation design in terms of best practice. Various systems are assessed in terms of their performance from a water quality, interception capacity and structural viewpoint.
Trainer's profile
Ivan McFadden has worked in the Construction Industry for nearly 20 years. He spent 6 years working in Wavin's Engineering and Technical Department. Ivan has worked as Technical Manager on Stormtech Attenuation system designs for the past 13 years. Ivan is currently Technical Manager with Resolute Engineering Group.
He has a BEng in Electrical Services and an MSc in Energy Management having come first in his class. His Thesis for the MSc was based on Rainwater Harvesting energy potential.
