Brookvent’s new heat recovery ventilation product, developed with research and development support from Invest Northern Ireland, has been unveiled by Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Jonathan Bell. Speaking at the product launch, Minister Bell said: “Brookvent has a long history of new product development and the launch of its aircycle 3.1reinforces their culture of innovation and commitment to excellence. “Brookvent has been manufacturing and supplying energy saving ventilation systems to residential construction sectors in the UK and Republic of lreland since 1984. The company now exports products worldwide to Europe, China and New Zealand. The aircycle 3.1, is the latest addition to their award winning Heat Recovery Ventilation system range and has a ‘best in class’ power consumption rating. “I am always pleased to hear about how local companies have benefited from Invest Northern Ireland support. In this case, Brookvent accessed an R&D grant of £49,438 as well as £675,000 from the Growth Loan Fund, to undertake product development and fund other growth opportunities. “The new product has the potential to open new doors for this innovative manufacturer across Great Britain, Europe and beyond. Brookvent is an excellent example of what Northern Ireland design and manufacture has to offer in a global marketplace.” Declan Gormley, Brookvent MD, said: “Brookvent has developed a best in class product with unrivalled performance, beating major players to the punch, and setting a new industry standard in heat recovery efficiency. An extremely low specific fan power means a higher cost saving for the end user. With this higher performance specification, Brookvent can continue to service existing domestic and export markets as well as develop new markets further afield.” Invest NI’s research and development assistance is part funded by European Regional Development Fund.
