Jorge Diaz del Castillo, the director general – environment with the European Commission, is set to speak at this year’s Environment Ireland conference on the latest developments in European waste policy. Environment Ireland, now in its ninth year, is Ireland’s major annual conference on environmental policy and management and takes place on Thursday, 12 September. The conference is organised in association with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and is attended each year by delegates representing all the main sectors with an interest in Ireland’s environment. Other speakers at this year’s event, which will be held in Croke Park, include:
