We will be hosting stands on university campuses across the country where student engineers can sign up for free Engineers Ireland student membership, chat about the benefits of membership, and learn about career opportunities in engineering.
Every eligible student membership application submitted on Wednesday, 4 March 2026 will be entered into our draw* to win some fantastic prizes!

Competition criteria:

To enter the draw, you must be enrolled in university for the academic year 2025/26 and eligible for student membership. Membership criteria can be found here

Only applications submitted on the 4th of March will be entered to the draw

Introduction
1.1 These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to the competition ("World Engineering Day Student Membership Competition") organised by Engineers Ireland, located at 22 Clyde Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin.
1.2 By entering this competition, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

Eligibility
2.1 The Competition is open to residents of Ireland, aged 18 or older, except employees of Engineers Ireland, their immediate families, agents, or anyone connected with the organisation of the Competition.
2.2 Proof of age and identity may be required.
2.3. Entrants must be eligible for Engineers Ireland Student Membership and must be enrolled in university for the academic year 2025/26
2.4 Only applications for student membership submitted on 4 of March will be considered a valid entry
2.5 Only one application can be submitted per person

Competition Period
3.1 The Competition begins on 4 of March 2026 and ends at midnight on 4 of March ("Competition Period").
3.2 Any entries received after the Competition Period has ended will not be considered.

How to Enter
4.1 To enter the Competition, participants must complete and submit an eligible application for Engineers Ireland Student Membership with their student email address.
4.2 Only one entry per person will be accepted. No use of multiple email address is permitted. Multiple entries will result in disqualification.
4.3 Applications must be accepted at our Membership Qualification Board Meeting on 18 of March to be considered a valid entry.

Prize(s)
5.1 The winner(s) will receive one of the following prizes: Apple Airpods 4, Smart Watch, €50 Deliveroo Voucher.
5.2 Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash alternative is available.
5.3 Engineers Ireland reserves the right to substitute the prize(s) with an alternative of equal or greater value.

Winner Selection and Notification
6.1 Winners will be selected by random draw.
6.2 The winner(s) will be notified by email within 30 days of the MQB election date.
6.3 If a winner does not respond to the notification within 5 days, Engineers Ireland reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

Publicity
7.1 By entering the Competition, participants agree that their name, image, and entry may be used in promotional materials and for publicity purposes by Engineers Ireland without additional compensation.
7.2 Winners may be required to participate in reasonable publicity related to the Competition.

Data Protection
8.1 Any personal data provided as part of the Competition will be handled in accordance with Engineers Ireland Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
8.2 Participants' data will not be shared with third parties unless required for the administration of the Competition or as otherwise specified in the Privacy Policy.

Disqualification
9.1 Engineers Ireland reserves the right to disqualify any participant if they are found to be in breach of these Terms or if any fraudulent activity is suspected.

Limitation of Liability
10.1 Engineers Ireland will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in the Competition, including technical issues, entries that are lost or delayed, or any other circumstances beyond its control.

General Terms
11.1 Engineers Ireland reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the Competition at any time without notice.
