How can I become a member of Engineers Ireland?

If your qualification is accredited, please apply online and then send on verification of your qualification. 

If your qualification isn’t accredited, please complete the Membership Query Form and upon receipt we will be able to advise on the best route to membership for you.

If you are not sure if your qualification is accredited, then please email membership@engineersireland.ie.

What is “verification of my qualification”?

Verification of your qualification is a proof that you completed your degree/diploma/certificate by one of the following options : 

Send a certified copy of your parchment/transcript/letter to Membership Team, Engineers Ireland, 22 Clyde Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4,

or

Complete the Qualification Verification Form and send it to your college for them to stamp and return to Engineers Ireland,

or

If you have original documents/transcripts/letter verifying your qualification, you may post these documents to Membership Team, Engineers Ireland, 22 Clyde Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 and we will photo copy & return as soon as possible. 

What is a certified copy?

A certified copy is a photocopy of the original document signed by: a member of Garda Síochána/Public Notary/Chartered Engineer/Engineers Ireland employee, confirming that the document is a “true copy of the original”.

How much is the application fee and how can I pay?

By cheque or postal order - send it to Membership Team, Engineers Ireland, 22 Clyde Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

By credit/debit card by calling the Membership Team on 01 665 1334.

Or we can invoice your employer upon request. Please email the details to membership@engineersireland.ie.
