 ‘The house that precast built: Precast Concrete Solutions for Faster Residential Construction’
   

Our panel of experienced industry professionals will provide practical information and guidance on the design, manufacture and construction processes in delivering structural precast concrete solutions that accelerate residential construction timelines.

   Fire & Safety Division Seminar: Thursday, 24 April
   ‘Improvement through experience: forward looking’

This year's Fire and Safety Division seminar will have two aims: first, a review of fire safety regulatory regime from the early 1990s to post-2014 amendments; second, insights from industry leaders in fire science and safety management to inspire future developments.

   Conservation Group Seminar: Wednesday, 30 April
   ‘Engineers Ireland Conservation Group 2025 Seminar: Lime Mortars for our Historic Structures’

It is important that Engineers understand the role mortars play and that the structural integrity of our historic structures, be they National Monuments, Protected Structures or Vernacular buildings is reliant on the material between the masonry units.

   Wastewater Treatment: Thursday, 25 September
   'Wastewater Treatment in a Net Zero World: Challenges, Collaborations, Innovations 
    & Opportunities'

This seminar will bring industry experts together to explore the wastewater treatment sector in 2025. Topics including climate resilience, emission pathways, smart utilities, policy regulations and incentives, cross sectoral utility, cross border partnership with Northern Ireland Water, and lessons from international best practice will be explored.

   Second Generation Eurocodes - Introduction to new Eurocodes Online Seminar: 
   Tuesday, 30 September

   ‘Introduction to New Eurocodes - Second Generation Eurocodes’

This seminar is an introduction to the new Eurocode scheduled for publication in early 2027 and in use nationally by early 2028. The second generation of the construction design and verification codes to be used in Europe.

   Project Management Seminar: Thursday, 2 October
   'The Future of Irish Infrastructure - The Critical Link Between Project Management and the National Development Plan'

The annual Project Management Seminar will be taking place in-person on 2 October. Each year, we explore a different aspect of project management in engineering, focusing on the key challenges and trends for project managers, alongside new strategies for navigating delivery. We’ll be hearing presentations from both seasoned engineers and experts from outside of engineering, and these will be supported by panel discussions and Q&A sessions.

   Electrical Division Seminar: 22 October
 
 'Data Centres'

​​​​​​The seminar will cover a diverse range of topics relating to the planning and design of data centres including latest trends in power and cooling systems, sustainability and the impact of AI in this regard. It will also provide an overview of the new Government Services Data Centre in Backweston. Other topics include Legal Aspects of Data Centre Contracts and Career Paths for Engineers in Data Centres.

   NTA Active and Sustainable Travel Seminar: Thursday, 6 November
   'Active and Sustainable Travel'

Join the National Transport Authority and Engineers Ireland for a seminar showcasing recent active travel schemes delivered across the country. This session will highlight a range of projects led by local authorities, with a focus on design, delivery, and lessons learned.

   OPW Flood Risk Management Seminar: Tuesday, 25 November
   'Planning Guidelines and Flood Modelling'

The annual Flood Risk Management Seminar, organised in conjunction with the Office of Public Works, is a half-day online event taking place on 25 November. This year's seminar will focus planning guidelines, flood modelling, and a number of case studies from across Europe, including studies on nature conservation, flash flood breakers, and river projects.

   MEETA Asset Management Conference: Thursday, 27 November
