The National Disability Authority/Centre for Excellence in Universal Design is, once again, running its Universal Design Grand Challenge, it has been announced.

To participate, students are asked to submit their design ideas to the competition and be in with a chance to win a cash prize and commercialisation funding. Being an award-winning designer doesn’t hurt either when applying for jobs and internships after college, which is another added benefit.

The competition is open to design third level students across the Republic of Ireland in their final two years of study. Your challenge is to showcase Universal Design in action.

We are looking for entries across three categories:

• Built Environment,
• Products and Services,
• Technology.
