4-day programme
Participants will receive an initial induction and icebreakers session for a half day. This will include a site visit to a company in the region. Over the following three days the participants will engage in hands on group based activities in mechanical, electronics and civil engineering. This will include 3D printing, build and programme of a robot arm kit, biomedical design exercise, lean manufacturing and teamwork and civil engineering site survey and bridge design competition. A second site visit to a local industry will also take place. The importance of teamwork and the SDGs will be emphasised across the activities. The programme will end with a group lunch, feedback and reflection on the achievements of the week.

Participating students in the EYF programme at SETU Carlow Campus will have the opportunity to partake in activities and gain experience in multi disciplines of engineering. Students will spend time in the Department of Built Environment (Civil and Structural Engineering, Architecture, Surveying), Department of Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering and Department of Electronics & Communications Engineering. All activities will focus on a strong hands-on, practical engagement.

The three-day TY Program at UCC will give students a taster of the Engineering disciplines offered at UCC through interactive workshops and talks. These disciplines are:
- Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering
- Energy Engineering
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Process and Chemical Engineering.
Students will also visit UCC’s state of the art MAREI Centre for Energy, Climate and Marine, which is closely aligned with UCC Engineering.

TU Dublin is once again delighted to welcome transition year students to a packed programme of hands on engineering activities spread across our campuses in Blanchardstown, Tallaght and City Centre. You will make new friends as you learn all about engineering. You will also learn about the many pathways to an engineering career available from Ireland's premier Technological University.

The world of electronic engineering covers a vast array of areas - from the smallest of signals to the largest of machines! You can find electronic engineering everywhere!
In the Maynooth EI TY week participants can experience all aspects of electronic engineering from circuit building, to signal generator and manipulations and even some robotic building!

The UCD Engineering Your Future experience, hosted by the UCD College of Engineering & Architecture and supported by STEPS, offers TY students five days of content and the opportunity to:
- Learn about the disciplines & technologies making up the exciting world of engineering
- Chat with our current Engineering Students about their UCD Experience
- Hear from recent graduates and guest speakers about their careers
- Engage through lectures, demonstrations, workshops, design exercises, projects and challenges
- Take a Tour of the UCD Campus with our Student Ambassadors
Eligibility: Please note only students intending to study Maths at Higher level in the Leaving Certificate will be considered for this experience.

STEPS EYF on the MTU camps is an engineering experience that gives transition year students a hands-on, fun and practical insight into engineering at third level and as a career. During your time at MTU, you will take part in team-building exercises, hands-on laboratory demonstrations, and engaging group activities. You'll have the opportunity to meet current engineering students as well as qualified engineers at different stages of their careers. This experience will give you a valuable insight into what studying engineering and college life at MTU is really like.

STEPS EYF will give students an opportunity to visit ATU Donegal and spend 3 days participating in exciting Engineering workshops from spaghetti bridge building to 3D printing to 3D printing to electric vehicle and robotic technology.
