The Wind Engineering Society serves as a hub for professionals, academics and public sector stakeholders interested in the application of wind engineering in the built environment. It promotes knowledge sharing, awareness and multidisciplinary collaboration across civil, structural, mechanical and environmental engineering.

Key areas of focus for the Society include wind and urban climate, site wind conditions, structural wind loading, wind-induced motion, pedestrian wind comfort, ventilation, air quality, wind-driven rain and snow, computational wind engineering, wind tunnel testing, and forensic wind investigations.
