Course Overview
This course provides delegates with the technical knowledge and practical understanding required to design, configure, and commission commercial solar PV systems in accordance with IS10101 National Rules for Electrical Installations, the SEAI Code of Practice, and ESB Networks EGIP requirements for interface protection and grid connection.
The course covers the design considerations associated with commercial solar PV systems including system sizing, inverter selection, cable sizing, protection coordination, earthing arrangements, generation metering, load analysis, and energy performance considerations. Particular emphasis is placed on interface protection requirements, grid connection compliance, and the integration of commercial solar PV systems within existing electrical installations.
Delegates will also examine installation best practices, commissioning procedures, testing requirements, and operational safety considerations relevant to commercial solar PV systems. The course reflects current industry developments including increased adoption of commercial renewable energy systems, evolving grid compliance requirements, energy management strategies, and battery storage integration.
Course Aim
The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the practical skills and technical knowledge required to design commercial solar PV systems in accordance with IS10101, the SEAI Code of Practice, and ESB Networks EGIP requirements. The course will develop delegates understanding of commercial solar PV design principles, interface protection requirements, grid connection considerations, system safety, commissioning procedures, and industry best practices.
