The leaner will learn about Temporary Work and get a understanding of their role and responsibilities. Giving them the confidence to take on the role of TWC on their site or just to have a better understanding of Temporary Works
Course Programme
Is a 2-day program designed for individuals with the responsibility for managing and coordinating temporary works on construction sites. Along with those who Design Temporary Work.
Learning Outcomes/Objectives
What will the course cover:
- Statutory Requirements: What does the Law say
- Management Procedures: Implementing a Temporary Works Register, preparing design briefs, and understanding the role of the Principal Contractor
- Technical Awareness: While not a design course, it covers typical temporary works like scaffolding, formwork, falsework, and excavation support
- Risk Management: Using method statements, risk assessments, and procedural controls to avoid site failures
- Key things to look out for, stability and Sequence
